2018 Campus Action Project Grant Recipients Announced

Funds Awarded by National Women’s Group for Activities Aimed at Advancing Gender Equity

WASHINGTON— The American Association of University Women (AAUW) announced the recipients of its 2018 Campus Action Project grants. The grants award 10-12 campus teams each up to $5,000 to implement initiatives that promote women’s leadership. Recipients represent a breadth of campuses including flagship universities, historically black colleges, and international campuses.

AAUW Chief Executive Officer Kim Churches offered the following congratulatory statement.

“On behalf of our 170,000 members and supporters of AAUW, we appreciate the 2017-18 CAP awardees and their commitment and passion toward advancing equity for all. These projects act as a direct response to the fact that working women not only face a 20 cent pay gap but are also not equally represented in positions of leadership from Capitol Hill to the boardroom. Not only do these projects seek to influence positive change, they’re empowering female leaders in communities across the country. I look forward to seeing the impact these projects and their leaders have on our society as a whole in the future to come.”
