Christine Schmitz has more than 35 years of diverse experience as a Certified Public Accountant and Financial Advisor to individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations. Her many years of experience working at the Branch, State and National committee levels of AAUW puts her in an ideal position to be able to use her skills to address the current needs of the organization. She has served several terms on the AAUW National Finance Committee and the Investment Committee, as well as the Governance Committee. This service, along with her time as Finance Chair at the State and Branch levels, gives her a unique understanding of the organization. Additionally, her years of service on other non-profit boards, specifically Women First International Fund (previously known as Virginia Gildersleeve International Fund, on which she served for ten years) has given her a broad array of skills which she brings to AAUW.
