Julian Sfecla is director of information technology and facilities for AAUW. He spent the last 21 years supporting non-profit organizations leading and managing operations and business solutions in medium and large national associations. Prior to joining AAUW in 2018, Julian spent four years with the Armed Forces Benefit Association and 14 years with the American Psychiatric Association. He is an expert in program management, business process design, cyber security planning and implementation, virtualization strategy, data center strategy, vendor negotiation and IT governance. Recently, he expanded his portfolio to include machine learning and cloud technologies. Julian holds a master’s of manufacturing in engineering from Polytechnic University of Bucharest and a certificate in IT leadership and management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. When not working, he spends time with his two sons and has completed multiple marathons and ironman races. He hopes to instill this passion in his family.
