AAUW and AAUW Action Fund’s Civic Engagement Guide centers on key gender equity issues at stake in the 2026 elections. Members and affiliates can use this nonpartisan guide to educate themselves and their communities, prompt local discussion, and pose questions to candidates to help voters make informed decisions at the ballot box.

The decision to pursue an advanced degree isn’t simply about ambition or ability – it is also about access, opportunity, and finding the path that’s right for you. This was an open and practical conversation about the changing landscape of graduate education and what current and prospective students, and particularly women, should consider as they evaluate their options. Together, we explored how funding opportunities for graduate students are changing, how graduate programs are evolving and adapting, and how students can identify the programs that best align with their goals, and the ways graduate education can create opportunities for leadership, impact and lifelong growth.
