Show Your AAUW Pride with a Recruiter Pin
Thousands of people join the AAUW community each year – and many of them do so because they were recruited to the organization by existing members. As an expression of gratitude for helping our community grow, AAUW is proud to offer member recruiter lapel pins to individuals who serve as recruiters and share the value of AAUW membership with others.
Member recruiter lapel pins not only recognize and celebrate the hard work our members do to share AAUW’s mission and keep the organization strong, but also serve as a way to identify members who can act as resources for others. With these pins, experienced and passionate members can position themselves as visible leaders in their state and branch organizations.
Any member who recruits five or more new members (defined as individuals who have never been previously affiliated with AAUW) is eligible to receive a pin. Members are limited to receiving one pin per fiscal year. All types of membership recruitment — national, branch, Younger Women’s Task Force, and C/U partner — count toward a pin. Eligibility will be tracked by self-reporting across all AAUW membership applications. Pins will be sent out quarterly.
Why I Wear My Pin
Rebecca Surges wears her pin to help demonstrate the value of joining AAUW to prospective members.
“I share all the amazing things we’re doing at the branch level, as well as what national is doing: advocacy, NCCWSL, the leadership opportunities, the salary negotiation workshops, [and] Get Out the Vote. I say that it’s exciting and fun to be connected with this huge network of professional women who value women’s empowerment.”

If you’re a member, it costs you $0 to give an AAUW membership to a recent college graduate.
