Event Description

In collaboration with the Washington Mystics, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, and Graceful Girlz, AAUW is participating in the second annual Inspiring Girls Day.

Each organization will hold a 45-minute workshop on the theme of teaching young ladies about self-awareness and the perception of women in entertainment and social media. AAUW’s workshop will bring in college women athletes to inspire girls to pursue higher education and understand the impact of Title IX on student athletes.

Following the sessions, attendees will have the chance to watch the Washington Mystics take on the Chicago Sky on the Mystics’ home court.

This event is open to girls ages 13–18 and adults who wish to accompany them. Lunch will be provided. Advance purchase is required.
