Equal Pay Webinar Co-hosted by the U.S. Department of Labor Women’s Bureau and AAUWApril 17, 2013
While much progress has been made, working women still earn less, on average, than their male counterparts for performing similar work. The wage gap is even larger for minority women and women with disabilities. This webinar will include presentations from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and AAUW staff members Kate Farrar, director of Campus Leadership Programs, and Christianne Corbett, senior researcher. Please join us as we discuss available resources and specific strategies that you can use to talk to your students about how to narrow the wage gap.
This webinar is targeted toward educators, career counselors, and others who are on the front lines of preparing college women for their careers in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Wisconsin, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
