Comments to HHS on Wellness Plans

AAUW submitted comments on the Department of Labor’s proposed regulations regarding employee wellness programs. AAUW supports the Department’s efforts to implement the health care law and strongly supports efforts to improve women’s health and wellness. However, great care should be taken to ensure that wellness programs, when they are attached to financial rewards and penalties, do not create barriers to women accessing affordable health care.
