Take the Lead — AAUW Opportunities for Students

AAUW offers student affiliates these leadership opportunities: 

• Take action. Make your voice heard in Congress on issues of importance to women through the online Two-Minute Activist. 
• Share ideas. Read and write about women’s struggles and successes in AAUW Students Speak Out, an e-zine written by students for students. 
• Discover your potential. Build your skills and gain work experience developing community-action projects sponsored by AAUW branches through AAUW’s Emerging Leaders Programs. 
• Lead the way. Join the 2005-06 AAUW Student Advisory Council, a national coalition of student leaders that advises AAUW on strategies for the future of women and girls. 
• Tap into powerful networks. Use the student affiliate listserv to connect to your peers in the fight for equity.
