Register Now to Attend the 2007 Student Leadership Conference

Now is the time to register to attend the 2007 National Conference for College Women Student Leaders! The conference will take place June 7–9 at American University in Washington, D.C. As an AAUW student affiliate, you have already identified yourself as a college women student leader, and we urge you to talk to your student affairs administrator or campus adviser as soon as possible about supporting your attendance at the conference.

In addition to attending dynamic workshops and presentations, conference attendees will have the opportunity to build leadership, advocacy, networking, financial management, and other skills during this fast-paced, two-and-a-half-day conference.

The conference will feature two exciting keynote speakers, Zainab Salbi, founder of Women for Women International, and Courtney Lynch, cofounder of Lead Star. This year’s conference will also honor five exceptional Women of Distinction:
  • Deborah Bial, President and Founder, Posse Foundation
  • Alison Malmon, President and Executive Director, Active Minds
  • Caryn Mathes, General Manager, WAMU 88.5 FM, Washington, D.C.
  • Asra Nomani, Author, Activist, and Journalist
  • Maria Otero, CEO, ACCION International
The National Conference for College Women Student Leaders is proud to announce its partnership with the WNBA’s Washington Mystics. Conference attendees will enjoy an unforgettable evening of basketball to help celebrate the 35th anniversary of Title IX. You’ll attend a pregame “chalk talk” strategy session with Linda Hargrove, general manager of the Mystics. At halftime, AAUW will be presenting Hargrove and Mystics owner Dr. Sheila Johnson with an award recognizing their work in women’s athletics!
