MEDIA ADVISORY: Speakers to Offer Insight on Wal-Mart Gender Discrimination Case
Session Features Named Plaintiff in Wal-Mart v. Dukes and Equal Rights Advocates Director
WASHINGTON — The American Association of University Women (AAUW) will host A Conversation on Justice, a session on workplace gender discrimination lawsuits, at its biennial convention on June 18, 2011, at the Renaissance, Washington D.C. Hotel. Arcelia Hurtado, executive director of Equal Rights Advocates, and Edith Arana, one of the named plaintiffs in the AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund-supported U.S. Supreme Court case Wal-Mart v. Dukes, will speak to attendees about what it’s like to fight against gender discrimination all the way to the highest court in the country.
