MEDIA ADVISORY: Panel Discussion to Offer Insight on Women’s Leadership in the Obama Administration
Event to Feature Tina Tchen, First Lady Michelle Obama's Chief of Staff

WASHINGTON — The American Association of University Women (AAUW) will host a Women in Power in the Obama Administration panel at its biennial convention on June 16, 2011, at the Renaissance Washington, D.C. Hotel. The panelists will discuss their work to achieve gender equity as well as the ways the Obama administration is breaking through barriers for women and girls.

The panel will feature Tina Tchen, the executive director of the White House Council on Women and Girls and chief of staff to first lady Michelle Obama. The list of panelists includes voices from prominent women in the Obama administration, particularly the Department of Labor, the Department of Education, and the Department of Justice.
