Panel discussion featuring current women’s and gender studies teachers in secondary schools, including Annie Delgado, Krystle Merchant, Michael Anthony Vargas, and Wazina Zondon, and moderated by Ileana Jiménez.

Panel discussion featuring academics with expertise and resources relevant to teachers, including Karon Jolna, Jennifer Martin, and Stephanie Troutman, and moderated by Catherine Sameh.

Panel discussion featuring activists who partner with teachers and students, including Dana Edell (SPARK), Kate McDonough (Girls for Gender Equity), ramesh kathanadhi (Men Stopping Violence), and Geoffrey Winder (Gay Straight Alliance Network), and moderated by Nuala Cabral (FAAN Mail).

Panel discussion featuring school and activist leaders who are shaping national and global dialogue on women’s and gender studies in schools including leaders from The Miss G Project in Ottawa, Canada, who successfully campaigned for the inclusion of a Gender Studies Elective in school curriculum and a teacher and administrator from the Hazelwood School District in Missouri.
3:40–4:40 p.m.
Collaborating session, which offers an opportunity to forge partnerships between participants
4:45–5:30 p.m.
Closing keynote by Ginetta Candelario, Associate Professor of Sociology and Latin American & Latina/o Studies at Smith College, with reflection on the day’s conversations
