Establish a Named Fellowship or Grant
Thank you for your interest in establishing a named fellowship or grant — a powerful way to recognize and honor your dedication to AAUW's mission. These endowed funds can pay tribute to individuals of distinction or celebrate the work of AAUW branches and states while providing critical funding to outstanding woman scholars, educators and community leaders.
| Fellowship or Grant Type | Establishment Contribution | Completion Level | Time Frame for Completion |
| American Fellowship | $10,000 | $200,000 | 15 years |
| International Fellowship | $10,000 | $200,000 | 15 years |
| Research and Project Grants | $5,000 | $75,000 | 10 years |
To establish a fellowship or grant, send the appropriate establishment contribution (see above), the completed establishment form, and, when honoring or remembering an individual, a biographical summary of the honoree to:
AAUW Development Office, Planned Giving
1111 Sixteenth St. N.W.

Board Approval
The AAUW Board of Directors meets twice a year, in the spring and fall. AAUW must receive contributions and establishment forms approximately one month before the board meeting to be considered. After the board approves the request, the AAUW branch or state contact will receive a letter indicating the approval date, the date the fellowship or grant is expected to be completed, and the fund number. Please include the fund number and fellowship or grant name on all correspondence with AAUW.
