AAUW's mission is to promote equity for all women and girls, lifelong education, and positive societal change. Both corporations within AAUW serve that mission: the AAUW membership association and its AAUW Leadership and Training Institute and the AAUW Educational Foundation, and its Legal Advocacy Fund.

Grants, corporate sponsorship, and institutional partnerships with innovative corporations and foundations help AAUW serve a diverse national and international community.
