You must be an AAUW member and the creator of this original art to enter. Join AAUW or Renew your membership.
Entries were accepted into the contest from January 8–February 10, 2010.
Artists were allowed to submit up to two entries.
ABOUT THE ART
We accepted entries in TIFF, EPS and JPEG file formats.
As the winning entries will appear on a horizontal calendar, entries should be horizontally formatted at 9 inches wide (2700 pixels) by at least 5 inches tall and at a resolution of no less than 300dpi.
Files must be less than two megabytes.
If your entry portrays any identifiable individual(s), we ask that you obtain and provide AAUW with a model release form from the individual(s), or their guardian(s), before AAUW will include the entry in the contest.
Any image of an offensive nature will be excluded from the contest.
VOTING
Only current AAUW members can vote in the 2010 AAUW Art Contest.
Members can vote February 12 through March 11, 2010.
Members may vote once every seven (7) days for their six (6) favorite images.
Upon logging in to vote members will be able to view the entries they've already voted for as well as when they can cast their next six (6) votes.
Each time members vote, they will automatically be entered into a drawing to win one of ten $25 gift certificates to ShopAAUW.
The images that receive the most votes at the end of the voting period will appear in the 2010-2011 AAUW calendar.
OTHER INFORMATION
The calendar will acknowledge the name of the artist, the title of the art and if the artist belongs to a branch, the name of that branch will also be acknowledged.
You must agree that by submitting art to the AAUW Art Contest, you are providing AAUW with a royalty-free perpetual license to use, reproduce, post, display, or create derivative works in any media associated with this contest.
AAUW will directly contact and secure specific permission from you if AAUW wants to reproduce, post, display or create derivative works for any media uses other than this contest.
