This October, AAUW will join other professional and educational organizations on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., at the USA Science and Engineering Festival — the country’s first national science festival. A grand finale two-day expo involves more than 500 leading science and engineering organizations, 750 hands-on activities, 40 stage shows, and much more. More than 100,000 people are expected to participate in this national celebration of science and engineering.
AAUW will be exhibiting at the expo on October 23 and 24 with special hands-on activities geared especially to girls and their families. Visit our booth to have fun learning about famous women in science and exciting careers through activities from our branch programs for girls across the country. Parents and educators can stop by to learn about easy things they can do to encourage girls in science and math.
