Program Description
The GRACE Project is a working group of faculty and administrators of the College of Medicine at the University of Arizona. It was developed to document potential disparities between male and female faculty in rank and track assignment, salaries and leadership positions, and to investigate potential causes of these disparities, with the ultimate goal of implementing solutions to documented barriers. Data generated by the GRACE Project have been used in the annual evaluation of the COM department heads by the dean to identify salary disparities and opportunities for leadership development for women faculty. Five salaries were adjusted in the first year, with an average change of more than $25,000. For more information, please visit the GRACE Project website.
