Program Description
Since 1989, the Women’s Center has enriched both the University and the surrounding community by offering an array of programs and services. Examples of these programs include the Free Legal Clinic, staffed by volunteer law students and professors, and the Sexual Assault Education Office, a program providing education and counseling services. The Center has also hosted prominent women leaders such as Gloria Steinem and feminist scholar bell hooks to inspire women and girls in the Charlottesville area.
