Program Description
This program is the third in a series of multi-generational, equity-focused programs conducted by the Center for Family Involvement in Schools, a unit of the consortium for Educational Equity at Rutgers University. Family Tools & Technology encourages middle school girls and their families to collaborate on hands-on projects integrating science, technology, and mathematics. The programs seek to demonstrate to a new generation of those who have been traditionally underrepresented and socialized away from these fields the relevance and importance of science and technology in everyday life, and to increase their self-confidence.
