Program Description
Wartburg College and the University of Northern Iowa have been working with the Waterloo School District to develop a program to provide scholarships for minority students who graduate from the Waterloo schools to complete the Teacher Preparatory Program at Wartburg or the University of Northern Iowa and go on to become an applicant for available positions in the waterloo schools. The primary would be to provide the Waterloo Public Schools with more minority teaching candidates who would be positive role models for the students in the schools.
