Program Description
The Women in Technology (WIT) Project was developed to promote technical careers among Vermont women ages 14-25 through three program components: (1) Speaker Bureau: Volunteer speakers, women (and some men) currently employed in technical fields give presentations about their work at junior and senior high schools; (2) Shadow Day: High school girls are invited to VTC for an overnight program about technical career options; and (3) Summer Technology Camp: Eighth grade girls are invited to VTC for a four-day hands-on technical workshop led by professional women at the end of June.
