Finding an Attorney

Finding an attorney is perhaps the most crucial step in pursuing legal recourse for sex discrimination. For attorney referrals, contact the AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund, or

  • Contact your local bar association.
  • Contact your local legal aid office.
  • Contact the National Employment Lawyers Association (www.nela.org).
  • Search online attorney databases (i.e. www.martindalehubbell.com and www.lawyers.com).
  • Contact the law clinic at local law schools.
  • Search the phonebook under "legal resources."
