Dr. Helene D. Gayle (1955–)
Epidemiologist, HIV/AIDs, Public Health Advocate, and Global Development Expert

Dr. Helene Gayle is president and CEO of CARE USA. An expert on health, global development and humanitarian issues, she spent 20 years with the Centers for Disease Control, working primarily on HIV/AIDS. Dr. Gayle then directed HIV, TB & Reproductive Health within the Global Health Program at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. She currently chairs the Obama Administration's Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS.
