Applications and Deadlines

Local Scholarships
The AAUW Branch and State Local Scholarship Clearinghouse Program for scholarships to be awarded for the 2012-13 academic year.

The following deadlines have passed.

Career Development Grants
Career Development Grants support women who hold a bachelor's degree and are preparing to advance or change careers or re-enter the work force. Special consideration is given to women of color, and women pursuing their first advanced degree or credentials in nontraditional fields.

Selected Professions Grants
Selected Professions Fellowships provide opportunities for women to pursue graduate and first-professional degrees in designated fields where women traditionally have been underrepresented and where the employment outlook and earnings potential are strong.

International Project Grants
Intended for former AAUW International Fellows living and working in their home countries, the International Project Grants program supports community-based projects that benefit women and girls.

Community Action Grants
Community Action Grants provide seed money to women, AAUW branches, AAUW state organizations, and local community-based nonprofit organizations for innovative programs or nondegree research projects that promote education and equity for women and girls.

International Fellowships
International Fellowships are awarded for full-time study or research to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Fellowships support graduate or postgraduate studies at accredited institutions.

American Fellowships
American Fellowships support women scholars completing doctoral dissertations, conducting postdoctoral research, or finishing research for publication.

Nominating Committee applications
The AAUW Nominating Committee is responsible for developing a slate of candidates to run for elective positions on the 2013-2015 AAUW Board of Directors.

Submit your AAUW group tax-exemption survey and authorization form.

Campus Action Project applications
About ten teams composed of students and a campus professional are selected at colleges and universities around the country to implement their project proposal. Grants range from $1,000 to $5,000.

Student Advisory Council applications
Serving on the SAC provides members with many opportunities to represent the voices and experiences of college students, develop as leaders, network, and gain valuable résumé-building experience.

Elect Her — Campus Women Win
Apply to bring Elect Her — Campus Women Win to your campus. This program encourages and trains young women to run for student government on their campuses.

Fellowship and Grant Selection Panels
Engage in the process to review applications to select fellowship and grant awardees.

National Committees and Task Forces Application
These committee positions are great opportunities for AAUW leadership, and have proven very rewarding for many who have served in the past. Appointments will be announced following the AAUW convention in June.

AAUW Leadership Corps
The AAUW Leadership Corps of volunteer field organizers from across the country concentrates on talent scouting, branch development, and mentoring future leader

AAUW Voices Project
AAUW Voices Project Members will be a country-wide community of media first-responders, armed with training, resources, and support and ready to pen op-eds, letters to the editor, blog posts, and more.

Case Support Travel Grant
An annual grant that enables Legal Advocacy Fund-supported plaintiffs, their lawyers, and related experts to speak at state meetings or conventions about LAF-supported cases, sex discrimination issues in the workplace and higher education, and the work of LAF.
